This is why it took me sixteen years to write Rain of Gold, eight to write Thirteen Senses, and forty-three years to finally finish Burro Genius.

I layer my books.  I write them beginning to finish, put them away, letting them digest inside of me like the cow chewing her cud.  Then I take them out and start on page one, and I suddenly see a whole new way of handling the same information, and I start rewriting.

This is why the Snow Goose Global Thanksgiving book is so astonishing to me. I wrote it in one single night, and when I tried to rewrite it and improve it, I suddenly realized that I couldn't. I was no longer that "guy" who heard the great white birds talking. That was a one-night-gift from the stars. I was totally in my heart and soul. My "thinking" head wasn't causing me any worry and/or confusion. I felt blessed and the whole world was full of magic and everything seemed possible.

Come and join us. Truly, weee weee weee, each and everyone of us, have the whole globe in our hands, and weee weee weee have a whole lot of work to get done between now and twenty twelve, then twenty twenty-six. And weee weee weee can do it! The Snow Geese Angels of Our Human Souls told us so.
